We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quadient Developer to join our Communications Fulfilment team here at Domestic & General. Reporting into the Communications Fulfilment Manager and being part of a small team, they will be responsible for creating and managing D&G’s document composition requirements for critical customer communications such as Plans, Renewals, Acquisition and other letter types. Documents are produced for Postal and Email Output.

Alongside document composition this role alongside the team are responsible to ensure the continuation of production processing through our automated workflows solutions in +PReS Connect and Pipelines within Quadient Evolve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • From brief create document composition solutions for both email and postal documents using Quadient Evolve.

  • Develop automated Workflow / pipeline solutions in +PReS connect or Quadient Evolve.

  • Document solutions / SOP’s and work with other teams to support.

  • Ensure that all work is processed to meet D&G requirements for both the level of quality and delivery of service levels.

  • Investigation & response to Quality queries & Issues.

  • To actively search for and report any areas for improvement in processes, technical solutions and infrastructure to your line manager

  • To follow all formal rules and processes related to the position as defined by company policies, certifications and accreditations

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience of working within the Print industry

  • Quadient Evolve SAAS –  Content Author, Generate, Digital Delivery, Front office and OCO

  • Knowledge of programming languages: java, SQL .NET, HTML

  • Databases (ODBC, MSSQL, SQL language)

  • Legacy composition/data processing tools PReS,– basic skills

  • Skills supporting data and image processing and manipulation

  • Knowledge of mailsort rules as defined by Royal Mail and other DSA providers

  • Familiar with Microsoft office

  • Ability to learn new things quickly

  • Strong attention to detail along with being analytically minded

  • Commitment/high work rate
