We are looking for an ambitious and "can do" attitude candidate to join our Client Business Development team as an Account Handler to come and play a key role in supporting and maximising existing accounts.
Your role will be to act as a key contact for our clients to drive joint business plans and to achieve mutual targets. You will also support the Account Manager on the development of their accounts by working on strategic business projects and daily tasks.

About the Role:

Analyse daily and monthly performance stats and highlight any deficits providing action plans for changes required to turn performance around.

Have full account handling responsibility for your client accounts. You will be the day to day contact for the client dealing with joint business plans, driving new strategic projects and managing day to day queries.

Attend client meetings giving operational guidance and presenting business performance.

Analyse campaign figures, ensuring that marketing campaigns are timely, accurate, aiming to exceed the budget figures.

Have complete autonomy over your designated client accounts putting together operational solutions when required to increase warranty sales and improve best business practice.

Resolve escalated issues impacting customers or clients.

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Domestic & General’s warranty business and systems and apply this to improve business processes on selected accounts.

Develop a thorough knowledge of the business and culture of clients within a sector.

Support the Account Manager with ad-hoc routine responsibilities, tasks and projects.

Report monthly on new business and renewals against budget and other business performance indicators for designated accounts and the sector.

Liaise with directors / senior managers internally and externally and discussing current affairs relating to warranties and the sector. Offering advice about existing products and promoting value added services.

Occasional travel to other locations will be required.

Ideally have client account management or similar experience

To be successful in this role you should have a have a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages with advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables) and proficiency in PowerPoint.

Ideally you will be degree educated with some experience of working within a busy, commercially focused environment
