We have a great opportunity for a Senior Manager – Regulatory Advice to join our UK Compliance Team here at Domestic & General on a 12 Month FTC. The role involves providing Compliance advisory support to the UK business on various regulatory matters in a clear, pragmatic, and timely manner. The strategic impact of this role is crucial in driving forward Risk & Compliance aligned with business objectives. Key responsibilities include building relationships with senior stakeholders, overseeing daily operations, and spearheading key initiatives. The primary focus will be on interpreting regulatory changes and assisting business areas in their implementation.

Key Responsibilities will include.

Build Proactive business partnering relationships with stakeholders to deliver against business objectives aligned to our risk appetite.

Update policies, procedures, and compliance reporting.

Operate within the second line to act as a point of contact for any regulatory or governance queries by providing guidance and steer to the business.

Attend regular business and governance meetings and provide Compliance updates on regulatory developments, risks and relevant topics and actions.

Guide, challenge and protect business by providing practical, proactive regulatory advice to UK business to ensure informed decision making.

Provide expert comprehensive advice and take an immersive approach to identifying work that requires risk and compliance consideration.

Provide agile forward-looking advice and guidance that supports long term growth considering business and customer needs, external best practice and regulatory requirements.

Actively promoting a risk aware culture.
Skills and experience required:
-
Experience of working in a regulatory Compliance environment with SME knowledge of FCA Sourcebooks and regulations.

Customer focussed with a passion to understand and support the delivery of good customer outcomes

Knowledge of general Insurance business will be beneficial/desirable

Strong influencing, communication and relationship skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Self-motivated and an energetic team player

Ability to prioritise and work independently in a timely fashion.
