Head of Analytics Engineering

We’re looking for a Head of Analytics Engineering to help drive this shift—ensuring our data systems are designed not just for access, but for usability and impact. You’ll play a central role in making data intuitive and actionable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Deliverables:

  • Lead and Develop Analytics Engineering Teams: Oversee and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Support the career growth and development of team members, ensuring alignment with individual and business goals.
  • Deliver Scalable and Reliable Solutions: Ensure teams deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable data products that meet business and customer needs, on time and within scope. Ensure they are solutions that align with our data science strategy as well as enabling our MI / BI / AI strategy.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement and promote best practices in development, agile methodologies, and best practise engineering, continuously seeking opportunities to improve team performance, productivity, and data quality.
  • Technical Strategy and Direction: Provide strategic technical guidance and decision-making for teams, ensuring the architecture and technical decisions align with business goals and long-term sustainability.
  • Manage Team Effectiveness: Leverage metrics and feedback to monitor and improve team performance, ensuring efficient workflows, effective collaboration, and high team morale.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Solutions Analyst to join our team and help us deliver smarter, more effective business solutions. The Solutions Analyst is responsible for engaging with stakeholders, both internal and external, to understand their business needs and translating those needs into well-defined functional requirements that guide the design and enhancement of technical solutions. 

This role builds trust with stakeholders, leads requirements elicitation, supports solution design, creates functional and process documentation, and collaborates with internal technical teams to ensure successful delivery. The analyst also assists with project leadership tasks, including estimating effort, tracking progress, and performing testing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trust and with stakeholders and consult on technical solutions. 

  • Lead requirements gathering and documentation. 

  • Analyze client data and design data transformation processes. 

  • Create functional specifications and data flow documentation. 

  • Collaborate with software and platform engineers on solution designs to ensure business requirements are met. 

  • Present solutions to stakeholders and manage iterative refinement of requirements. 

  • Define project tasks, contribute to effort estimation, and support project tracking. 

  • Develop and maintain key relationships with all impacted business areas. 

  • Perform user acceptance and regression testing for all assigned projects. 

  • Identify risks, issues, and recommended alternatives. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues as needed. 

Skills and experience required:

  • Requires deep understanding of business processes, data flows, functional specification design, and relational databases.

  • Must be able to interpret complex client data, design data load and campaign processes, and create clear, standards-based functional specifications.

  • Tactical affinity for understanding, developing, and communicating business processes.

  • An analytical mindset coupled with the ability to understand the true business needs behind requests.

  • Experience designing processes that run very efficiently on large, relational databases.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills as well as the ability to take ownership of problems and follow through to resolution.

  • Self-directed with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Patience with steep learning curve.
