As a Senior Underwriting Analyst, you will forecast and manage the profitability of new and existing lines of warranty business across corporate and consumer products. Key role responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of warranty products and accounts
  • Setting viable pricing and commission structures for new and existing warranty business
  • Ensuring the pricing, commercial arrangements and product design of warranty business delivers against cost and target margins, through accurate costing and modelling
  • Producing long-term financial forecasts and cash flows, including investment appraisal analysis
  • Assessing and advising on warranty product risk
  • Presenting commercial propositions to senior management and external clients
  • Liaising with all commercial areas of the D&G business to deliver profitable warranty products
  • Applying appropriate regulatory requirements including GDPR
  • Developing and delivering creative solutions to complex warranty design problems

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Graduated with a numerical degree level
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast and agile environment
  • Proactive work ethic and commercial acumen
  • Excellent numeracy and excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Capable of using a large data set analysis
  • Knowledge of financial & commercial modelling as well as budgeting and forecasting

  • Some experience using SQL would be ideal but not essential
  • Experience with Extended Warranty Products is beneficial however not essential

We are excited to announce that we are on the lookout for a Commercial & Marketing Delivery Executive, to join our Commercial Delivery team.

Reporting to a Senior Commercial Delivery Manager, as part of the Commercial Delivery team, this role will support the execution of the operational plan across key Inbound routes to market. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative and work closely with our contact centre operation, to ensure BAU performance is optimised, acting as an action co-ordinator, and supporting the imbedding of change initiatives.

About the role:

  • Support the delivery of sales budgets, monitoring performance against KPIs. Proactively driving performance for your area of ownership.
  • Provide insight into routes to market, and report monthly on performance- analysing delivery, keeping key stakeholders updated about performance and progress against key initiatives.
  • Attend regular performance meetings with the operational teams.
  • Work closely with the contact centre, to ensure that sales conversion targets are achieved.
  • Ensure operational teams have the correct products available.
  • Monitor cancellation rates, and work with Operations to enhance net result through minimising cancellations.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across D&G.
  • Conduct regular call listening to assess call quality and identify any areas for potential improvement from a sales perspective.
  • Utilise available MI to identify trends in performance.
  • Consider best practice activity from other D&G routes to market and how that could be applied.
  • Create Action Plan to drive performance on relevant routes to market.
  • Provide a post-launch analysis of any change implemented to highlight the impact of the change, and identify ways of further refining the activity.

About You:

This role will suit candidates with a background in commercial account management, that includes elements of data analysis to successfully implement change.

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time 40 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join our Risk and Compliance team here at Domestic & General. Reporting into the Head of Compliance you will be responsible for delivering an effective and overall compliance plan in Italy.

This will involve providing regular compliance training guidance and insights, as well regulatory advice on compliance matters, deliver compliance controls and audits on different areas of the business be able to be able to protect the company from risk’s and to ensure that to ensure that our company’s vision and values are embedded where we aim to make the world a better place, one repair at a time.

Key role responsibilities:

  • Provide Regulatory Advice on compliance related matters and issue Regulatory Reports
  • Determine and maintain the Policy Framework and ensure Conduct Standards are adhered to
  • Review and Sign-off new or changes in business documents, contracts and processes
  • Execute regular Compliance Controls on processes and perform Compliance Audits on different business areas
  • Carry out Ad hoc Reviews to detect and mitigate risks and perform Horizon Scanning to foresee upcoming regulatory changes
  • Provide Compliance Trainings and insights via regular communication
  • Act as Contact Person for Regulatory Visits or information requests

Skills and experience required:

  • Completed a university degree in business administration or law or have a similar qualification.
  • Gained 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in compliance or in a regulated environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to provide a solution-oriented approach and make a good judgement
  • Confident across all hierarchy levels and have the ability to communicate and present skills to enable to promote our compliance culture.
  • Capable of ensuring highest standards in terms of clarity, substance and presentation
  • Business fluent in Italian and English

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Previous background in a compliance role within an insurance and financial service sectors in Italy
  • Knowledge of compliance laws in Italy
