We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Designer to join our product team. You’ll play a vital role in crafting new digital products as well as enhancing and improving existing ones. You’ll work in a squad of talented people and will be responsible for UX and UI for your squad, whilst being supported by the lead product designer and your fellow product design colleagues.
Your squad will look to you to advise on best UX and UI practice, to represent our users and to balance users’ needs with those of the business when ideating and testing new ideas.
You’ll require a keen eye for design – with a deep understanding of UI patterns, typography and colour. You’ll be familiar with working with a design system. Animation experience would be a bonus.
We are looking for someone with confidence, energy and positivity – we work as a team and encourage collaboration and communication.
You’ll be confident in planning and running discovery and research sessions, creating user flows, wireframes and prototypes. You will be able to plan and execute research and report research findings. You’ll be an expert Figma user.

Key responsibilities include:
- Discovery, persona and problem statement definition, research and analysis
- Ideation, task flows, user flows, journey mapping, empathy mapping
- Creating complex user-centered product designs for a range of digital products
- Test with users frequently and iterate designs
- Confidently present concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively within a squad and the wider product design team, with copywriters, front-end developers, product owners, business and data analysts, solution architects and other internal and external stakeholders as required
- Carry out proactive research on competitive landscape, new technologies, design techniques and process improvements
Skills and experience required:
- Excellent knowledge of user experience and user interface best practice
- 3 years experience as a product designer, with a portfolio of commercial products, demonstrating experience from discovery through to delivery
- Expert Figma user
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility requirements and agile processes
- Commercial experience employing user research techniques and reporting
- Confident when articulating and presenting product design rationale and managing internal stakeholders and clients
- Experience with data analysis and product strategy
Desirable:
- Experienced in the use of designing for e-commerce/ transactional systems
- Experience in using A/B testing tools or processes (Optimizely)
- Animation experience
- Experience working in a Scrum/Agile framework, Sprint planning participation
