Job Title: International Finance Manager (m/f/d)

Reporting To: International Finance Controller / Management Board Member
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced International Finance Manager (m/f/d) as a maternity cover for the next 12-18 months (part-time) to join our team at DGIEU’s Head Office, in Wiesbaden. In this key role, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial information, overseeing international reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position requires a strategic thinker who can communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver timely and accurate financial information and analysis.
- Oversee the monthly international reporting process.
- Manage the production of the quarterly management pack, including commentary and schedules (P&L, balance sheet, cash flows).
- Support the international budget and forecast processes, including financial modeling and analysis.
- Produce International (IFRS) and subsidiary (German GAAP) statutory accounts.
- Ensure quarterly financial reporting complies with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the external audit process.
- Maintain compliance with relevant accounting technical pronouncements and standards.
- Develop appropriate financial controls and processes.
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects and provide support to the DGIEU board including financial instrument reporting, Solvency II, and processing of other regulatory requests.
- Prepare financial information for special purposes, including tax returns (with 3rd party support).
- Manage Cashflow effectively.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Significant post-qualification experience in finance.
- Strong technical accounting expertise, including IFRS and German GAAP.
- Extensive experience in reporting and consolidation.
- Good knowledge of tax accounting and computations.
- Familiarity with Solvency framework; insurance accounting experience and experience in a regulated environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience in Workday & Cognos (budgeting and forecasting) is a plus.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills in English and German; additional European languages (Spanish, French, Italian) are a plus.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
