International Finance Business Partner

The International Finance Business Partner role is designed specifically to provide finance support and advice in relation to our recently launched and growing United States market entry.

There is a significant focus on developing internal reporting and cost control tools to provide insight and understanding to the senior leadership team responsible for the US performance.

The Business Partner will be expected to liaise with the wider finance team, underwriters and business support functions to obtain an understanding of the business to enable informed decision making.

The role will also cover the management of the UK-based International team expense budgets and ongoing cost control.

Responsibilities:
  • US market cost control and internal reporting, including the following areas:
    • Staff costs analysis.
    • Technology related capex and opex costs, including internal staff capitalisation, third-party licence costs and maintenance spend.
    • Contact centre cost analysis.
    • Travel authorisation and reporting.
    • Legal and professional fees reporting.
    • General cost allocations.
  • Liaison with the outsourced finance partner, including providing cost allocation and accrual feedback, plus other adjustments.
  • Continuous process improvement including documentation of processes and controls as the US business continues to grow.
  • Management of the budget and reforecasting for the US business and the UK-based International team.
  • Assisting with other forecasting, variance analysis and cost saving monitoring within the International team.
  • Year-end internal and external reporting, plus audit assistance.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks, projects and support as required.
