We have a fantastic opportunity for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a cross-disciplinary agile team developing and supporting high quality web products for business clients

The role:

You will be working with Developers, DevOps and Engineering teams in a dynamic environment to promote/implement “secure by design” solutions

Delivering high quality code and comfortable being responsible for the quality of that code including writing enough automation to ensure it works as expected

Be involved in sprint planning to ensure work is delivered in line with the Product Owners priorities

Work with stakeholders and product owners to ensure requirements match business needs

Support and mentor other engineers who are not as confident as you in particular areas

Desired experience and skills:

  • Working on multiple engineering teams over several years building and supporting complex production applications
  • Working with modern frontend frameworks, at least some recent experience working professionally with React
  • Full stack JavaScript and Typescript, node.js
  • Working with serverless cloud infrastructure
  • Deploying with applications to the cloud with infrastructure as code
  • TDD and automatic testing including end to end testing frameworks such as Cypress; automating should be second nature.
  • Building observable systems and supporting the application beyond deployment, e.g., logging, distributed tracing, metrics
  • Working on green fields projects and designing a solution from scratch
  • Experience working on agile teams that work in a highly collaborative fashion with a bias towards pairing (or even mobbing) with colleagues to get work done.
  • Deploying IAC using the AWS CDK
  • Recent experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
