What the role involves:
Delivering high-quality code by taking ownership of code quality, writing sufficient automation, and conducting rigorous testing to ensure that the code performs as expected.
Actively participating in sprint planning to ensure that work aligns with the priorities set by the Product Owner, contributing to the efficient and timely delivery of software solutions.
Engaging with stakeholders and product owners to validate requirements and ensure they are aligned with the business needs, effectively translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Producing clear and comprehensive documentation to support development activities, including system architecture, API specifications, and deployment guidelines, to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintainable codebase.
Providing ongoing support for the application after deployment, collaborating with the team to address issues, debug and troubleshoot problems, and ensure the smooth operation of the software solution.
Collaborating with Developers, DevOps, and Engineering teams in a dynamic environment to promote and implement "secure by design" solutions, ensuring robust security practices throughout the development process.
Supporting and mentoring other engineers, leveraging your expertise and experience to assist team members who may be less confident in specific technical areas, fostering their growth and development.
Taking the lead on small projects to deliver tangible business value for the team, demonstrating your leadership skills, project management abilities, and technical expertise to drive successful outcomes.
What you’ll bring:
- Solid communication skills and expertise to translate technical jargon into business familiar language.
- Ability to quickly explore, examine and understand complex problems and how these relate to the customer’s business.
- Adaptable, able to quickly switch between projects, demands and environments.
- Stakeholder management and business awareness skills, ability to understand and interpret customer problems and navigate complex organisations.
- Self-motivated and self-educating, yet willing and able to work collaboratively Well organised with a healthy sense of urgency; able to set, communicate and meet aggressive deadlines with competing priorities
Desired experience and skills:
- Environment management, code, and data management
- In-depth understanding of Angular framework and its core concepts, including components, services, routing, and state management. Storybook, Monorepo architecture, Headless CMS integration, A/B testing / CRO
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for web applications, including caching, bundling, and lazy loading.
- An understanding of the latest trends and their role in a commercial environment
- Desirable
- Knowledge of cloud architecture and deployment patterns, including serverless computing, microservices, and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with cloud services and tools, such as AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, or Azure Functions.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices and experience in implementing secure cloud solutions.
