About the role
This is a new role for D&G at senior Leadership level and reporting into the Director of Global Data Strategy and Assets.
The primary focus of this role is to manage the accuracy of scheme data. This role will drive the strategy data strategy to improve the integrity of the data cycle of the customer journey.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the data management strategy aligned with the company’s business objective & data governamce framework
- Define a comprehensive data lifecycle management approach that covers data creation, collection, , usage and retention , . This ensures data is managed effectively throughout its lifecycle and aligns with regulatory requirements, including referene data
- Work with engineering team to ensure we have a centralized repository for data catalogs and dictionaries
- Research and properly evaluate sources of information to determine possible limitations in reliability or usability
- Create a data accuracy trust score for each data source and work with data stewards to improve it
- Compare and analyse provided statistical information to identify patterns, relationships and problems
- Work with SMEs to set up appropriate rules in Attacamma for data management and quality providing insight and controls for outliers
- Train the data stewards how to properly organise findings and read data collected
- Set standards, metrics and assements for data quality
- Refer to previous instances and findings to determine the ideal method for gathering data
- Collaborate with senior management to define data needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure the integration of data systems with various internal and external data sources.
- Drive the implementation of best practices for data governance, quality, and security across the team.Lead initiatives to improve data processing efficiency and reduce latency.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of existing data systems.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor data access controls to safeguard sensitive information.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks and ensure data governance policies are adhered to.
