The Cloud Infrastructure Manager role leads and manages the Cloud Infrastructure Support Team within Domestic & General (D&G). The team is part of our third-line support services at D&G – supporting the company’s network, server (Windows & Linux), storage and cloud infrastructure (Azure & AWS). The geographically dispersed team, comprising of eight (permanent & contract) staff, has responsibility for supporting approximately 1000 server-based infrastructure, which underpin 24/7 business operations across Europe and Australia.
The Cloud Infrastructure support team lead will be responsible for supporting and managing the team that supports the D&G infrastructure and cloud services. The manager will need to work collaborate with other D&G Technology & Engineering teams to provide stable systems, support the delivery of projects and larger change programmes.
Key Responsibilities.
- Management of the team of Cloud Infrastructure engineers whose primary remit is to support D&G’s infrastructure and cloud services.
- Achieving operational stability by promoting the ‘required maintenance’ philosophy and continuous service improvement processes. Whilst providing a customer focused approach to all D&G’s internal and external customers.
- As the Cloud Infrastructure manager, be responsible for ensuring platforms are supported for the following services that underpin D&G’s business capabilities, Cloud Based services ( AWS , Azure, SAS, PAS, IAS ) and internally managed systems with Infrastructure and Networking.
- License Management – Understand Licensing, manage licenses and how to effectively apply to D&G systems.
