Brighton businesses joined forces to raise nearly £3k for Children in Need in just two and a half hours on Friday (18th November).
The challenge, coined #CiNCity, involved over twenty local businesses including BrightonandHoveJobs, Domestic & General (D&G) and MCR Print.
Team D&G team competed against 4 other Brighton businesses, and the clock, to raise as much money as possible for the charity. Utilising social media, teams Tweeted pictures outside each of the four specified city landmarks to complete the challenge. Landmarks included the Brighton Wheel, Brighton Pier, Palmeria Floral Clock and Hub Cafe in Hove.
Team D&G managed to pull in the two single biggest donations of the day, totalling £400 cash from collections from staff at its offices in Queens Square and a £200 cheque from Red Flag Recruitment.
#CiNCity, was a part of this year's Children in Need campaign which has raised over £26 million, to help fund projects around the UK.
